Seasoned with our seafood blend, Shellback, this quick and easy recipe combines asparagus, shrimp and sausage to deliver bright addition to your weekly rotation. Rich sausage, fresh, juicy shrimp and asparagus make for a perfect sheet pan dinner. For flavor, we put our focus on the shrimp element and picked Shellback as our backbone for the whole thing. And guess what? It’s as delicious on asparagus and sausage as it is on shrimp! To take the meal to the next level, whip up a super simple lemon aioli to serve on the side. With very little work, you'll be gathered around a feast that is restaurant worthy.
What is a Sheet Pan Dinner?
Sheet pan dinners have become our weeknight easy button. They're fast, simple, and most often on the healthier side. They're comparable to a crockpot meal, but instead of being cooked in a slow cooker, all of the ingredients are mixed together on top of a baking sheet and roasted. Prep is relatively simple and clean up is every easier, which is truly a personal preference.

Pan Sheet Ingredients:
1 lb - large, raw, shrimp, peeled, deveined, tail on
1 lb - chicken sausage, fully cooked
1 lb - asparagus, trimmed and cut into 3" pieces
2 - medium shallots, sliced into wedges (any type of small onions can be substituted)
1 Tbsp - extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp Hickory Smoked Sea Salt *(can be substituted for regular salt)
1 lemon
Aioli Ingredients:
1 cup - neutral oil (such as avocado or vegetable)
1 - large egg
1 - garlic clove, smashed
zest of one lemon
1 Tbsp - lemon juice
1 tsp - Hickory Smoked Sea Salt *(can be substituted for regular salt)
Instructions:
1: To make the aioli, add the oil, egg, garlic, lemon juice and zest and smoked sea salt to a blender/food processor. In a few seconds on a high setting, you will see the aioli start to form at the bottom. It will quickly begin to emulsify and become thick. At the bottom of the blender make sure the oil has been incorporated, you might need to take a spatula push the ingredients that have stuck to the wall of the blend down the blender, just ensure all ingredients are fully combined!
2: Heat oven to 400°F.
3: In a large bowl toss asparagus and shallots in olive oil with 1/2 teaspoon salt and spread on baking sheet along with sausage. Place on center rack and roast for 10 minutes.
4: Remove pan from oven and add shrimp. Season entire sheet pan with remaining salt, freshly ground pepper, Shellback seasoning and squeeze the lemon over the top. Gently toss all ingredients on the pan and roast for an additional 6-7 minutes or until sausage is warmed through and shrimp is pink. Serve warm with the aioli.
